Role Overview

As PetSmart's Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) in Houston, Texas, you'll deliver professional grooming services while leading team development. This full-time position supports high-performing salons by training bathers and stylists, ensuring quality care, and driving pet parent satisfaction. No direct reports, but you'll guide associates through certification programs.

Key Responsibilities

People Leadership

Facilitate training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching. Develop associates via bather/stylist certification, delegate tasks, handle grievances, and celebrate achievements to boost engagement.

Salon & Store Experience

Provide top-tier grooming (baths, brushes, nail trims), manage bookings, greet pet parents, recommend services, maintain sanitation, report pet health issues, and drive sales/promotions. Assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Require 2+ years grooming experience (technical exam possible), full-time flexibility, tool proficiency, computer skills, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail. Passion for pets and leadership essential.
