Role Overview
The Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) delivers top-tier grooming services, trains new associates, and ensures exceptional pet parent satisfaction. This full-time role combines hands-on grooming with leadership to build high-performing salon teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead associate development through training, onboarding, mentoring, and certification programs.
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Drive pet parent engagement via consultations, rebookings, and promotion of wellness solutions.
- Maintain salon sanitation, safety, and operational excellence; report issues promptly.
- Delegate tasks, provide performance feedback, and foster team engagement.
Experience & Skills
Require 2+ years grooming experience (technical exam possible), full availability, strong communication, and proficiency in tools/software. Ideal candidates thrive under pressure, prioritize pet safety, and excel in customer-facing roles. No direct reports, but guide associate growth.
