Role Overview
The Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) delivers professional grooming services, trains new associates, and ensures outstanding pet parent satisfaction. This full-time role combines hands-on grooming with leadership, supporting salon operations and team growth in a fast-paced retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead people development: Train bathers/stylists, mentor associates, provide feedback for reviews/promotions.
- Drive salon experience: Greet pet parents, recommend services, manage bookings, promote sales.
- Perform expert grooming: Full baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards.
- Maintain standards: Ensure cleanliness, pet safety, report issues, communicate needs to leadership.
- Support store: Assist other departments, handle grievances, celebrate team wins.
Experience & Skills
Require 2+ years grooming experience (technical exam possible), full availability, tool proficiency, strong communication/organizational skills, composure under pressure, and computer savvy. No direct reports, but guide associate development.
