Role Overview
The Pet Groomer & Salon Trainer (Salon Experience Lead) delivers exceptional grooming services while leading and developing salon teams. This full-time role combines hands-on grooming expertise with people leadership, ensuring top-quality pet care and outstanding customer experiences in our Mississauga location.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate associate training, onboarding, mentoring, and performance feedback to build high-performing grooming teams.
- Perform professional grooming services across full menu including baths, styling, nail trims, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, consultations, rebooking, and promotion of wellness solutions.
- Maintain salon operations: cleanliness, inventory, booking systems, and compliance with safety policies.
- Identify and develop talent for stylist academy programs and handle team grievances.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with 2+ years experience (technical exam may apply), full availability, strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in grooming tools and software. Ability to thrive under pressure while prioritizing pet safety is essential.

- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care
- Lead pet parent interactions, manage bookings, and drive rebooking and sales
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions
- Delegate tasks, handle associate issues, and ensure policy compliance
- Monitor pet health, report issues, and collaborate with store leadership
