Role Overview
As Pet Groomer & Salon Trainer (Salon Experience Lead), you'll deliver professional grooming services while leading team development. Support bathers and stylists through certification, ensure exceptional pet parent experiences, and drive salon performance in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead people development: Train, mentor, onboard associates; provide feedback for reviews/promotions; identify stylist candidates.
- Drive salon experience: Greet pet parents, recommend services, manage bookings, promote sales, maintain cleanliness/safety.
- Perform expert grooming: Full baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards; handle sick pets.
- Operational excellence: Delegate tasks, report trends, ensure policy compliance, assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Require 2+ years grooming (technical exam possible), full-time flexibility, tool proficiency, computer skills, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail. No direct reports but guide associate growth.
