Role Overview
The PetSmart Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) delivers top-tier grooming services, trains new associates, and ensures exceptional pet parent satisfaction. This full-time role combines hands-on grooming with leadership to build high-performing salon teams and drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead people development: Onboard, train, mentor bathers/stylists, provide feedback for reviews/promotions, and handle grievances.
- Execute professional grooming: Perform baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards.
- Enhance customer experience: Greet pet parents, manage bookings, recommend services, and promote rebooking/sales.
- Maintain salon excellence: Ensure cleanliness, safety, report pet health issues, and communicate operational needs.
- Drive performance: Achieve sales targets, delegate tasks, and foster associate engagement.
Experience & Skills
Require 2+ years grooming experience (technical exam possible), full availability, tool proficiency, computer skills, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail-orientation. Passion for pets and leadership essential.
