Role Overview
The Pet Groomer & Salon Trainer (Salon Experience Lead) combines expert grooming with leadership to deliver exceptional salon services. You'll groom pets to professional standards, train emerging stylists, and enhance pet parent satisfaction, all while contributing to salon success and store operations in our Oshawa location.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead people development: Onboard, mentor, and certify bathers/stylists; provide feedback for reviews and promotions.
- Deliver top-tier grooming: Perform baths, brushes, nail trims, and full services per PetSmart standards.
- Elevate customer experience: Greet pet parents, recommend services, manage bookings, and drive sales/rebookings.
- Ensure operational excellence: Maintain cleanliness, report pet health issues, and communicate business needs.
- Assist across departments as required to support store goals.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with 2+ years experience (technical exam may apply), full availability, and proficiency in tools, computers, and communication. Thrive under pressure with strong organization, safety focus, and a passion for pet care. Leadership in training associates is key.
