Role Overview

The Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) delivers professional grooming services, supports team development, and ensures exceptional pet parent experiences. This full-time role combines hands-on grooming with leadership, guiding bathers and stylists through certification while upholding PetSmart's standards for quality, safety, and care.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Train, mentor, and coach associates; facilitate onboarding, performance feedback, and certifications; delegate tasks and resolve grievances.
• Salon & Store Experience: Perform full grooming services (bath, brush, nails, teeth); greet pet parents, recommend services, drive sales/rebookings; maintain cleanliness and report pet health issues.
• Operational Excellence: Use booking systems, ensure policy compliance, communicate business trends, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Require 2+ years grooming experience (technical exam possible), full availability (evenings/weekends/holidays), tool proficiency, computer skills, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail-orientation. No direct reports, but guide associate development.
