Role Overview
As Pet Groomer & Salon Trainer (Salon Experience Lead), deliver professional grooming services while leading team development. Support bathers and stylists through certification, ensure exceptional pet parent experiences, and drive salon performance upholding PetSmart's values.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead people development: Train, mentor, coach associates; facilitate onboarding, feedback, and certifications.
- Perform expert grooming: Full baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing per standards.
- Enhance customer experience: Greet pet parents, recommend services, manage bookings, drive rebooking and sales.
- Maintain operations: Ensure salon cleanliness, safety, compliance; report issues and assist other departments.
- Boost performance: Promote sales targets, recognize associates, communicate trends to leadership.
Experience & Skills
Require 2+ years grooming experience (technical exam possible), full-time flexibility, tool proficiency, computer skills, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail. Guide associates without direct reports.
