Role Overview
The Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) delivers top-tier grooming services, trains new associates, and ensures exceptional pet parent satisfaction. This full-time role combines hands-on grooming with leadership, guiding bathers and stylists through PetSmart's development program while maintaining salon excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead people development: Onboard, mentor, coach associates; facilitate certifications and performance feedback.
- Drive salon experience: Greet pet parents, manage bookings, recommend services, and resolve concerns.
- Perform expert grooming: Execute full baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary services per standards.
- Uphold operations: Ensure cleanliness, safety, report issues, and hit sales targets.
- Collaborate store-wide: Assist other departments and communicate business insights.
Experience & Skills
Require 2+ years grooming experience (technical exam possible), full availability, tool proficiency, communication skills, composure under pressure, and organizational detail. No direct reports, but guide team growth.
