Role Overview
The Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) delivers top-tier grooming services, trains new associates, and ensures exceptional pet parent satisfaction. This full-time role demands leadership without direct reports, focusing on team development, salon operations, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead people development: Onboard, mentor, coach bathers/stylists through certification; provide performance feedback.
- Drive salon experience: Greet pet parents, recommend services, manage bookings, promote sales/rebookings.
- Execute grooming: Perform baths, brushes, nail trims, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Maintain standards: Ensure cleanliness, safety, humane pet care; report issues promptly.
- Support operations: Communicate needs, assist other departments, achieve sales targets.
Experience & Skills
Require 2+ years grooming (technical exam possible), full availability (evenings/weekends/holidays), tool proficiency, computer skills, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail-orientation. Passion for pets and leadership essential.
