Role Overview
The Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) delivers professional grooming services, trains new associates, and ensures outstanding pet parent satisfaction. This full-time role combines hands-on grooming with leadership to build high-performing salon teams and drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead people development: Train bathers/stylists, mentor through certification, provide feedback for reviews/promotions.
- Deliver top-tier grooming: Perform baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards.
- Enhance pet parent experience: Greet, consult, recommend services, manage bookings/rebookings.
- Maintain salon excellence: Ensure cleanliness, safety, compliance; report issues and support store operations.
- Drive performance: Promote sales, track metrics, communicate trends to leadership.
Experience & Skills
Require 2+ years grooming experience (technical exam possible), full availability, tool proficiency, strong communication/organizational skills, and composure under pressure. No direct reports, but guide associate growth.
