Role Overview
The Pet Groomer & Salon Trainer (Salon Experience Lead) delivers top-tier grooming services, leads team development, and ensures exceptional pet parent experiences. This full-time role combines hands-on grooming expertise with leadership responsibilities, supporting bathers and stylists through PetSmart's certification programs while maintaining salon excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate associate training, onboarding, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Develop bathers into certified stylists and identify academy candidates.
- Perform full grooming services adhering to PetSmart standards.
- Manage pet parent interactions, bookings, rebooking, and sales promotions.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, pet safety, and compliance with policies.
- Report issues, communicate needs, and assist other store departments as required.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years grooming experience (technical exam may apply), full-time flexibility, proficiency in grooming tools/computers, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Organizational skills and pet care passion are essential.
