Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in Albertville, Alabama, you'll receive hands-on training from PetSmart’s experienced Professional Styling teams through our renowned Grooming Academy. This entry-level role focuses on mastering industry-leading grooming techniques while delivering exceptional service to pet parents under supervision. Uphold our vision of pet safety, salon excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions and promote salon sales/merchandise.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments and contribute to store goals.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience preferred; complete our Salon Academy for certification. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends required. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet hair-filled environment.
