Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in Broomall, Pennsylvania, you'll receive hands-on training from PetSmart's experienced Professional Styling teams. After completing the PetSmart Grooming Academy, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services under supervision, ensuring pet safety and exceptional pet parent experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services like baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage appointments, conduct check-ins/check-outs, and make reminder calls.
- Recommend wellness solutions, promote services, and drive salon sales targets.
- Maintain salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues immediately.
- Assist in other store departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience preferred (technical exam may apply). Must complete PetSmart’s Salon Academy and safety certification. Seek candidates with strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
