Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in Bullhead City, Arizona, you'll receive hands-on training from our experienced Professional Styling teams. After successfully completing PetSmart’s Grooming Academy, you'll engage with pet parents and their pets, delivering best-in-class salon services while learning industry-leading grooming techniques. This entry-level role emphasizes pet safety, customer satisfaction, and store cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

Under supervision, perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards. Greet pet parents, manage appointments, conduct check-ins/outs, and recommend wellness solutions. Maintain salon sanitation, promote sales to meet targets, and assist with sick/injured pet protocols. Flexibility to support other departments ensures smooth operations.

Physical Demands

Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stoop, kneel, and work in a wet, pet hair-filled environment with moderate to high noise levels.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience preferred; complete our Salon Academy and safety certification. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure required. Must be available evenings, weekends, holidays, with attention to detail and pet safety.
