Role Overview

Our Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) role offers hands-on learning from PetSmart's experienced Professional Styling teams. After completing the PetSmart Grooming Academy, you'll provide best-in-class salon services under supervision, build technical skills, and ensure positive pet parent experiences while upholding our vision for pet safety and store excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and reminder calls while recommending wellness solutions.
• Maintain salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane conditions for all pets.
• Drive salon sales through merchandise recommendations and achieve productivity targets.
• Assist with sick/injured pets, work other departments as needed, and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience preferred (technical exam may apply). Must complete PetSmart’s Salon Academy and safety certification. Seek candidates with strong communication, organization, composure under pressure, computer skills, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a fast-paced, pet-filled setting. Flexible scheduling for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
