Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee in Enid, Oklahoma, you'll join our Professional Styling team for hands-on training through PetSmart’s Grooming Academy. Under supervision, you'll learn industry-leading grooming techniques while delivering exceptional salon services, ensuring pet safety, and building lasting relationships with pet parents.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include performing full grooming services like baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care; recommending wellness solutions; managing appointments and client records; maintaining salon cleanliness; promoting sales; and assisting across store departments. You'll also handle sick/injured pets and uphold company standards.
Daily Impact
From greeting pet parents to end-of-day cleaning, your role ensures positive outcomes and humane conditions for every pet.
Experience & Skills
Successful completion of PetSmart’s Salon Academy is required. Prior grooming experience preferred (technical exam may apply). You need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and physical ability to lift 50+ pounds in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment.

- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and handle physical demands (experience)
- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform supervised bathing, brushing, and grooming services including nail trims and sanitary care
- Recommend health and wellness solutions to pet parents
- Manage pet parent interactions, reservations, check-ins, and check-outs
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and pet safety standards
- Promote salon sales, merchandise, and services to meet targets
