Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, you'll receive hands-on training from industry-leading Professional Styling teams through PetSmart’s Grooming Academy. Under supervision, deliver exceptional salon services while upholding pet safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. This entry-level role builds foundational grooming skills for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per company standards.
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions, manage appointments, and drive salon sales.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily cleaning, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Handle check-ins/outs, client records, reminder calls, and rebookings efficiently.
- Respond to pet health issues promptly and assist other store departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience preferred; must complete PetSmart’s Salon Academy and safety certification. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, and flexibility for evenings/weekends required. Strong communication, organization, and pet-handling skills essential.
