Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in Framingham, Massachusetts, you'll receive hands-on training from our experienced Professional Styling teams through PetSmart’s Grooming Academy. This entry-level role builds foundational grooming skills while ensuring pet safety, customer satisfaction, and salon excellence. Key Responsibilities
Under supervision, deliver full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care. Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions, manage appointments, maintain meticulous salon cleanliness, and promote sales to achieve targets. Ensure humane conditions, respond to pet health issues, and assist across store departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience preferred (technical exam may apply); must complete PetSmart’s Salon Academy and safety certification. Thrive in fast-paced settings with strong organization, communication, and composure under pressure. Physical ability to stand, lift 50+ lbs, and work in wet, noisy environments with flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Promote salon sales, merchandise, and services to meet targets
