Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee in Kissimmee, Florida, you'll train under experienced Pet Stylists, mastering industry-leading grooming techniques through PetSmart’s Grooming Academy. This entry-level role focuses on delivering exceptional salon services, ensuring pet safety, and building lasting pet parent relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Under supervision, execute full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage appointments, conduct check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and maintain client records.
- Recommend wellness solutions, upsell merchandise/services, and drive salon sales to hit targets.
- Uphold salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane conditions for all pets.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience preferred; complete PetSmart’s Salon Academy for certification. Need strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment. Flexible availability required.

- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in pet hair environment (experience)
Responsibilities
