Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee in Langley, British Columbia, you'll train under experienced Pet Stylists in our Grooming Academy. Learn industry-leading techniques for bathing, brushing, and full grooming services while ensuring pet safety and exceptional pet parent experiences. This entry-level role builds your skills toward becoming a certified Pet Stylist.
Key Responsibilities
Under supervision, deliver full grooming services including nail trims and teeth brushing per PetSmart standards. Greet pet parents, manage appointments, recommend wellness solutions, and drive salon sales. Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, monitor pet health, and assist other departments as needed. Follow all policies for humane care and safety.
Daily Tasks Include:
- Performing supervised grooming services
- Handling check-ins, check-outs, and client records
- Promoting merchandise and rebooking appointments
- Ensuring end-of-day cleaning and maintenance
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience preferred; complete our Salon Academy for certification. Need strong communication, organization, and pet-handling skills. Be flexible for evenings/weekends, physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, and proficient in computers. Passion for pets and composure under pressure required.

- Strong written and verbal communication (experience)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work under pressure (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform supervised bathing, brushing, grooming, nail trims, and sanitary services

- Manage pet parent interactions, reservations, check-in/out, and rebooking
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and pet safety standards
