Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in Las Vegas, Nevada, you'll receive hands-on training from industry-leading Professional Styling teams through PetSmart’s Grooming Academy. This entry-level role builds foundational grooming skills while ensuring pet safety, customer satisfaction, and salon excellence. Key Responsibilities
Under supervision, deliver full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards. Greet pet parents, manage appointments, recommend wellness solutions, and drive salon sales. Maintain impeccable cleanliness, monitor pet health, and assist across store departments while upholding company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience preferred (technical exam may apply); must complete PetSmart’s Salon Academy and safety certification. Thrive under pressure with strong communication, organization, and computer skills. Physically capable of standing, lifting 50+ lbs, and working in moderate-noise, pet-filled environments. Flexible availability essential.
Physical Demands
Expect standing, stooping, reaching, and team-lifting over 100 lbs occasionally, with exposure to wet areas and pet hair.

- Manage salon check-in/out, reservations, and client records
