Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in Lloydminster, Alberta, you'll receive hands-on training from our experienced Professional Styling teams through PetSmart’s Grooming Academy. This entry-level role involves engaging pet parents, delivering best-in-class salon services under supervision, and upholding our vision for pet safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services like baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Develop safe technical skills meeting company expectations.
- Consult with pet parents on services, recommend wellness solutions, and manage appointments.
- Maintain salon cleanliness and take action on pet health issues.
- Drive sales through merchandise recommendations and rebooking.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience preferred but not required—complete our Salon Academy for certification. You'll need strong communication, organizational skills, flexibility for varied shifts, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs. Proficiency in computers and composure under pressure are essential.

Responsibilities
