Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in Marietta, Georgia, you'll receive hands-on training from PetSmart's experienced Professional Styling teams. After completing the PetSmart Grooming Academy, you'll engage pet parents, deliver top-tier salon services, and uphold our vision for pet safety and satisfaction. This entry-level role offers a clear path to becoming a certified Pet Stylist.
Key Responsibilities
Under supervision, perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards. Greet pet parents, manage appointments, recommend wellness solutions, and drive salon sales. Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, ensure pet safety, and assist across store departments as needed. Handle sick/injured pets promptly and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience preferred (technical exam may apply). Must complete PetSmart’s Salon Academy and safety certification. Seek candidates with strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.

- Manage salon check-in/out, reservations, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness and pet safety standards
