Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in our Mason, Ohio location, you'll receive hands-on training from our experienced Professional Styling teams. This entry-level role is perfect for passionate animal lovers eager to learn industry-leading grooming techniques through PetSmart’s Grooming Academy. Uphold our vision of exceptional pet care while contributing to store cleanliness and pet safety.

Key Responsibilities

Under supervision, deliver full grooming services like baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards. Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions, manage appointments, conduct check-ins/check-outs, and promote services to boost salon sales. Maintain impeccable salon sanitation, monitor pet health, and assist other departments as needed. Follow all company policies for a safe, humane environment.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience preferred; complete our Salon Academy training and safety certification. Demonstrate composure under pressure, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong communication, organizational skills, and computer proficiency. Physically capable of standing, lifting 50+ lbs, and working in a pet hair-filled, moderately noisy environment with depth perception required.
