Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in Myrtle Beach, SC, you'll receive hands-on training from PetSmart's experienced Professional Styling teams. After completing the PetSmart Grooming Academy, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services under supervision, ensuring pet safety, parent satisfaction, and salon excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions, manage appointments, and drive salon sales.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions, performing daily maintenance.
- Handle check-in/out, client records, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Respond to pet health issues and assist across store departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
PetSmart seeks passionate individuals with prior grooming experience (preferred; technical exam may apply). Key requirements include PetSmart Salon Academy completion, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a dynamic pet environment. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

- Capacity to lift 50+ pounds and handle physical demands (experience)
Responsibilities
