Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in Niagara Falls, Ontario, you'll receive hands-on training from our experienced Professional Styling teams through PetSmart’s Grooming Academy. This entry-level role involves engaging pet parents, delivering best-in-class salon services under supervision, and upholding our vision for pet safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full grooming services like baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care while developing safe technical skills.
• Greet pet parents, manage appointments, conduct check-ins/check-outs, and maintain client records.
• Recommend wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise, and drive salon sales targets.
• Ensure salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues immediately.
• Assist in other departments and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience preferred but not required—complete our Salon Academy for certification. You'll need strong communication, organizational skills, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs. Proficiency in computers and composure under pressure are essential.
