Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee in Oldsmar, Florida, you'll train under experienced Professional Stylists at PetSmart's Grooming Academy. This entry-level role focuses on developing safe grooming skills while delivering exceptional salon services, ensuring pet safety, and enhancing pet parent satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Under supervision, execute full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions, manage appointments, and drive salon sales.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues immediately.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and client communications professionally.
- Assist across store departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
PetSmart seeks passionate individuals post-Grooming Academy completion. Prior grooming experience preferred (technical exam may apply). Key traits: flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, organizational prowess, strong communication, and physical capability to lift 50+ lbs in a dynamic pet environment.
