Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, you'll receive hands-on training from PetSmart's experienced Professional Styling teams. After completing the PetSmart Grooming Academy, you'll engage pet parents, deliver best-in-class salon services, and uphold our vision for pet safety and satisfaction. This entry-level role offers flexibility, development, and a rewarding path in the pet industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Under supervision, execute full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per company standards.
- Develop safe technical skills meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Enhance pet parent experience through consultations, reservations, check-ins/outs, and sales recommendations.
- Maintain salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane conditions for all pets.
- Identify and respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience preferred (technical exam may apply). Must complete PetSmart’s Salon Academy and safety certification. Seek candidates with strong communication, organization, attention to detail, composure under pressure, and computer proficiency. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, noisy environment with pet hair.
