Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in Phoenix, Arizona, you'll receive hands-on training from our experienced Professional Styling teams. After successfully completing PetSmart’s Grooming Academy, you'll engage with pet parents and their pets, delivering best-in-class salon services while upholding our vision, mission, values, and pet safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Under supervision, perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care. Greet pet parents, manage appointments, conduct check-ins/outs, and recommend wellness solutions. Maintain salon cleanliness per checklists, promote sales to hit targets, and assist with sick/injured pets or other departments as needed. Ensure humane conditions and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience preferred (technical exam may apply). Must complete PetSmart’s Salon Academy and safety certification. Seek candidates with strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping, and working in a wet, pet hair-filled environment with moderate to high noise.
