Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in San Bernardino, CA, you'll train under experienced stylists at PetSmart's Grooming Academy. Learn industry-best grooming techniques while delivering positive pet parent experiences, ensuring pet safety, and upholding company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Under supervision, provide full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and client records.
- Recommend wellness solutions, promote sales to meet targets.
- Maintain salon cleanliness and safety; respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Required Qualifications
- Complete PetSmart Salon Academy and safety certification.
- Flexible schedule for evenings, weekends, holidays.
- Strong organization, communication, composure under pressure.
- Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, work in wet/noisy environment.
Preferred
Prior grooming experience; technical exam may apply. Computer proficiency essential.
