Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, you'll train under experienced Professional Stylists in PetSmart's Grooming Academy. This entry-level role focuses on developing safe grooming skills, delivering exceptional salon services, and ensuring positive pet parent experiences while upholding company standards for cleanliness and pet safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Under supervision, provide full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions, manage appointments, and drive salon sales.
- Maintain salon hygiene through daily cleaning, monitor pet health, and assist across store departments.
- Handle check-ins/outs, client records, reminder calls, and rebooking to enhance customer satisfaction.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience preferred; complete PetSmart’s Salon Academy for certification. Need strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.

- Manage pet parent interactions, reservations, check-in/out procedures
