Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer Trainee (Pet Stylist in Training) in Twin Falls, Idaho, you'll receive hands-on training from our experienced Professional Styling teams. After successfully completing PetSmart’s Grooming Academy, you'll engage with pet parents, provide top-tier salon services, and uphold our vision for pet care excellence. This entry-level role offers a clear path to becoming a skilled Pet Stylist.

Key Responsibilities

Under supervision, perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards. Greet pet parents, manage appointments, conduct check-ins/outs, and recommend wellness solutions. Maintain salon cleanliness, ensure pet safety, promote sales, and assist in other store areas as needed. Respond promptly to sick or injured pets.

Daily Operations

• Handle client communications in-person, phone, and register.
• Perform maintenance and end-of-day cleaning checklists.
• Drive salon metrics through upselling merchandise and services.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience preferred; technical exam may be required. Must complete PetSmart’s Salon Academy and safety certification. Seek candidates with strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays essential.
