Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer Trainee in Warner Robins, Georgia, you'll train under experienced Pet Stylists to master industry-leading grooming techniques. This entry-level role, post-Grooming Academy completion, focuses on delivering exceptional salon services while ensuring pet safety and customer satisfaction. Share in store cleanliness and sales goals in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Core Grooming Duties
- Under supervision, provide full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Develop safe technical skills meeting company expectations.
Customer & Sales Focus
- Greet pet parents, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and recommend wellness solutions.
- Promote services and merchandise to drive salon sales targets.
Operations & Safety
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane conditions; perform daily maintenance.
- Respond to sick/injured pets and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have prior grooming experience (technical exam may apply) and complete PetSmart’s Salon Academy. Key traits include computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, work in wet/noisy pet environments with depth perception required.
