Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategy. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes; educate on full curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and keep areas clean/presentable.
• Act as subject matter expert, training associates on pet training value.
• Create safe environments; handle sick/injured pets, including vet transport if needed.
• Recommend merchandise/services; assist other departments as required.
• Participate in Belonging culture and follow company policies.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), strong organization, and communication skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, pet handling in moderate-noise/wet environments with animals.
