Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Albemarle, North Carolina, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety, cleanliness, and exceptional service. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to educate and inspire.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pet training services via phone, in-person, or online, managing parent experiences and outcomes.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
• Educate associates as training expert and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience.
• PetSmart Training Instructor Course accreditation.
• Computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays; composure under pressure.

Physical Demands

Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure. Depth perception required; reasonable accommodations available.
