Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in our Albuquerque, NM store, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service over phone, in-person, or online.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences and resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Ensure safe, clean training environments and handle sick/injured pets.
• Recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and recognize team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include standing, bending, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise environment.
