Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer engages pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with our vision and curriculum. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and drive sales while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Sell training classes across channels and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
- Recognize associates and foster a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Requires 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
