Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Alpharetta, Georgia, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and conduct classes using our proven curriculum, ensuring safety and satisfaction while driving sales and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes across channels and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes, and keep areas clean/safe.
- Serve as training expert for store associates, recognize contributions, and assist other departments.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure essential. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays required. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise environment.
