Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision and curriculum. You'll actively promote classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Ensure safe, clean training areas and respond to pet health issues, including vet transport.
• Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and recognize team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a moderate-noise environment.
