Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. Based in Arlington, Texas, you'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean training spaces. This role combines animal expertise, sales savvy, and customer focus in a dynamic pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions following PetSmart curriculum, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell training programs across channels while addressing concerns.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and training areas; respond to pet health issues promptly.
• Educate store associates as the pet training expert and assist other departments as needed.
• Champion safety, cleanliness, and company policies while recommending merchandise.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a moderate-noise environment with pet hair exposure.
