Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, this role involves in-person, phone, and online interactions, active sales of classes, and maintaining a safe, clean training environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in our dynamic retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage pet parents to sell and deliver training classes per curriculum.
• Handle inquiries, concerns, and outcomes via phone, in-person, or online.
• Educate associates as training expert and recognize sales contributions.
• Ensure safety: identify sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed, maintain clean areas.
• Manage paperwork, scheduling, and recommend merchandise/services.
• Assist other departments and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, handling animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments.
