Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers expert training services, engages pet parents, and drives positive outcomes. You'll uphold our vision by educating on training benefits, selling classes across channels, and maintaining safety in a dynamic store environment. This role combines animal care, customer service, and sales in a pet-loving atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes while promoting the full curriculum.
• Ensure safe, clean training areas and handle pet health emergencies, including vet transport.
• Maintain records, train associates as SME, and recommend merchandise/services.
• Assist other departments, participate in recognition culture, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Thrive under pressure with organizational skills, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs amid pets, noise, and wet environments. Depth perception and animal handling experience required.
