Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments while contributing to store success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pet training services following PetSmart curriculum and manage pet parent interactions.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes across channels.
• Maintain paperwork, training areas, and safety protocols; respond to pet health issues.
• Educate associates as subject matter expert and recommend merchandise/services.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and foster a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include standing, bending, and animal exposure in a dynamic retail setting.
