Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Aurora, ON, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Educate on training benefits, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively promote and sell training classes across channels.
- Deliver curriculum-based classes, maintaining safety for people and pets.
- Handle all training paperwork, scheduling, and area maintenance.
- Educate associates as training expert; recognize sales contributions.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and recommend services.
Experience & Skills
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience.
- PetSmart Training Instructor Course accreditation.
- Computer proficiency, strong communication, organization.
- Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays.
Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle pets in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure. Depth perception required.
