Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive reinforcement-based training classes, engages pet parents, and upholds our vision of pet well-being. You'll actively promote and sell our curriculum while ensuring safe, clean environments and collaborating across departments to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pet training sessions over phone, in-person, or online, managing parent experiences and outcomes.
• Proactively sell classes and educate on curriculum benefits; recommend merchandise/services.
• Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
• Act as training expert for store associates; recognize contributions to sales.
• Handle sick/injured pets promptly, assist other departments, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible scheduling for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
