Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, fun environments for pets and people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences and resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes across channels.
- Maintain all training paperwork and store cleanliness.
- Create safe class environments and handle sick/injured pets.
- Educate associates as the pet training expert and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
