Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our Baton Rouge location, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Drive sales of training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
• Serve as training expert for store associates and recognize their sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and exposure to pets/noise.
