Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences and resolve concerns across channels.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
- Maintain all training paperwork and educate associates as subject matter expert.
- Ensure safety, cleanliness in training areas, and handle sick/injured pets promptly.
- Recommend merchandise/services and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
